COMMUNITY INVESTMENT FUND

DCCDC is focused on working with policymakers, philanthropists, and corporations to direct resources toward communities experiencing economic injustice in Washington, DC.

The Ward 8 Community Investment Fund (W8CIF), is a community-led place-based funding opportunity offering “grants-secured loans” to Ward 8 resident-entrepreneurs, and small businesses. 

Grant secured loans are an innovative financial product developed by and for Black entrepreneurs in partnership with elected officials, DSLBD, and a small business focused CDFI.

W8CIF Application & Process

Applications are closed for W8CIF Round II.

A Grant Review Committee (as nominated by Ward 8 community members), will select approximately 40-50 awardees, including the Youth Entrepreneurs Grantees, for approximately $800K in funding.
